The combined unit brings more than 600 people together from WSP’s existing Environment, Advisory and Digital teams along with Elton Consulting, the strategic consulting unit we acquired in November last year.
Guy Templeton, President & CEO of WSP in Australia and New Zealand said, “Maintaining our focus on engineering, design and program management while further developing advisory services is a core part of our strategic plan. Strengthening our offering by consolidating our approach allows us to have more of an impact in bringing projects to life, particularly in decarbonising our economy, shaping the resilience of our cities and ensuring the sustainability of our communities.
“Rebecca Davis is the ideal leader for the unit due to her experience in leading large, market-facing businesses and her advisory experience, coupled with a collaborative working style and enthusiasm for bringing together multidisciplinary teams to solve our clients’ most complex issues.”
Discussing her appointment, Rebecca said, “I am passionate about decarbonisation, making our world a better, more future-ready place and addressing some of the biggest challenges and changes in our communities.”
Rebecca’s most recent role was running the largest business unit of Quantium, the Australian, globally recognised data analytics company.
Prior to this, Rebecca held a variety of senior positions at Qantas including Head of Strategy, after an advisory career with Bain and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. She has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University, and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
