Leading design and engineering consultancy WSP is delighted to be part of the successful Link Alliance selected by City Rail Link Ltd (CRL Ltd) as its preferred tenderer to deliver the City Rail Link (CRL) C3 contract.
Yesterday City Rail Link Limited (CRL Ltd) announced the Link Alliance will join an alliance with CRL Ltd to deliver the main CRL works, the stations and tunnels.
The Link Alliance includes Downer, Vinci Grands Projects, Soletanche Bachy, AECOM, Tonkin + Taylor, and WSP.
Ian Blair, WSP Opus Managing Director, is thrilled the Link Alliance Consortia will deliver a key part of New Zealand’s largest transport infrastructure project.
Cities that are highly liveable tend to have extensive, affordable and high-quality public transport that connects people to jobs, schools and amenities in an efficient and reliable way. Blair says the CRL is a key project delivering this for Auckland.
Peter Wiles, WSP Director Transport, is excited by the opportunity to bring the consultancy’s considerable local and global expertise to the project.
“WSP Opus has been involved in many aspects of the CRL – from the C2 Albert Street tunnel to the preliminary design work for the C7 Rail Systems project. Being able to call in our global experts, who have worked on similar scale projects is a major benefit to everyone who is working to transform Auckland’s transport future,” Wiles says.
