A core team of six WSP EDD specialists worked on this project, whilst more than 20 colleagues were involved in total. Although predominantly focussed upon the presence of contaminated land and legislation compliance, aspects such as flood risk, energy use, water scarcity and wastewater treatment were also assessed. Additionally, the EDD team provided estimated costs and legal implications to feed into the bid process which contributed to our Client being the successful bidder and acquiring the business.
WSP’s involvement in this acquisition demonstrates why it is our breadth of expertise and collaborative workforce that makes WSP stand out from our competitors. In this case, using our energy efficiency experts, health and safety professionals, and colleagues who specialise in water consumption and wastewater handling; we prove what can be achieved when our business works together to accomplish a challenging goal. The EDD team often works under pressure and in collaboration with others, thus making time constraints and other commercial challenges second nature to the team. It is this kind of resilience which drives WSP to provide the best services to our Clients.
