WSP Earns Global Recognition in Top Digital Award

WSP clinched the top global accolade at the buildingSMART openBIM Awards 2022 under Construction for Buildings category for Hong Kong’s upcoming landmark The Henderson. 

The recognition for this OpenBIM driven landmark project, collaborated with Henderson Land Development and Hip Hing Construction, is another testament to WSP’s pursuit of digital excellence following our win in Hong Kong openBIM/ openGIS Award earlier this year.

Organised by buildingSMART International (bSI), the award honours exceptional projects with openBIM international standard application, technology innovation and practice. Standing out amongst 21 finalists, the project is the sole winner in the category, demonstrating WSP’s best practices of leveraging openBIM in project delivery and lifecycle asset management in the global architecture, engineering, and construction industry.

The Henderson is the first Hong Kong project winning the award. Located at the heart of Hong Kong’s central business district, the project is a 34-storey Grade A office tower designed to be an ‘Office for the Future’, with its base elevated above the ground to shelter communal courtyards and gardens, creating new civic spaces enveloped by nature. Serving as the MEP consultant, WSP goes an extra mile to tailor MEP design and shape this next generation of healthy, resilient, smart, green and sustainable landmark in Hong Kong.
