Neil Barr provides leadership for the Property & Buildings sector, focusing on delivering innovative solutions to meet the challenges of complex projects.

Prior to joining WSP, Neil enjoyed a highly successful 17-year career with Aurecon, most recently as Regional Director South East Queensland which saw him lead over 600 people.

In this role he was instrumental in significant infrastructure projects such as the $1.4Bn Sunshine Coast University Hospital and the $1.6Bn Toowoomba Second Range Crossing where he was responsible for the governance of all professional services delivered. He also partnered with Lendlease to develop the world’s largest timber building at 25 King Street, Brisbane, which put the WELL rating tool as the centre of the design philosophy. 

Neil has led large-scale business transformation and understands the value of thought-leadership, client engagement and service delivery as key differentiators.

He brings a deep understanding of the importance of vision and strategy to delivering long-term sustainable value to an organisation, and his leadership philosophy is anchored by a Design Led Thinking approach.
