WSP was retained by Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP) to conduct a feasibility study for introducing electrified urban public transit via battery electric buses (BEBs) in Lima, Peru.

The City of Espoo is planning to use autonomous public transport as part of a low-carbon mobility. Autonomous bus technology is evolving at a rapid pace, but much remains to be developed in terms of usability and functionality. We studied the accessibility of robot driven buses in the fall of 2021 by using a virtual model. During the virtual robot bus trip, the people in the target groups were interviewed in depth.

WSP’s South African transport  experts have successfully delivered a Bus Rapid Transport system that offers fast, safe and affordable public transport on a network of bus routes across Johannesburg. It aims to provide better public transport, reduce congestion on public roads and contribute to improving the environment.

The ACT Government has committed to progressively reducing emission to zero emissions by 2045 with Government setting a target of 2040 for its own emissions.

Reducing emissions from the transport sector and in particular the Government run bus fleet, is a key component to achieving the ACT Government’s emissions targets and to achieving a sustainable future for the city through a clean, healthy and attractive public transport service.

Transport Canberra engaged WSP to deliver a Zero-Emission Transition Plan to allow government to make funding, fleet and depot planning decisions to commence the transition of Transport Canberra’s bus fleet to zero-emission vehicles.

This integrated commuter project will provide better transport and revitalize a main urban corridor in Montreal.
