Essential to ensuring security and reliability of the grid to support increasing renewable energy connections, the new EnergyConnect transmission line will link New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria and would assist in transporting energy from the South-West Renewable Energy Zone to major demand centres.

We helped deliver Q Building – the first mass timber structure in Newcastle, and Regional NSW’s first 6 star rating as recognised by the Green Building Council of Australia. 

As part of the Scotland TranServ partnership, WSP devised innovative approaches to Trunk Road operations, contributing to Net Zero, reduced disruption, improved journey times and safer roads.

The project brought together our expertise in bridge, foundation and lighting design, as well as landscape architecture.

The first public art museum in Australia to achieve a 6-star Green Star design rating. WSP worked with Atelier Ten and the Art Gallery of New South Wales during the design phase to ensure ecologically sustainable design outcomes were achieved.

Faced with numerous geographical challenges, WSP were engaged to undertake stormwater and hydraulic design services for the new Manawatū Highway.

To protect canopy cover and reduce the need for human intervention, trial atmospheric cooling and artificial roosts are being undertaken for one of Victoria’s permanently occupied Grey-headed Flying-fox colonies in Rosalind Park, Bendigo.

The Action Plan identifies the island state’s transportation infrastructure most at risk from climate-related impacts and helps guide future investment decision making to build resilience.

Shaktoolik, Alaska, is a remote village of 260 people, located 125 miles east of Nome, on a narrow spit of land between the Tagoomenik River and the Bering Sea. Brightly painted houses line either side of the village’s only road, a 1-mile stretch of sand and gravel.

As part of the City of Sydney’s ambition to reach net zero emissions by 2035 we have played a key role in demonstrating ways to drive down GHG emissions in the built environment in Greater Sydney.

WSP is entrusted by Tainan City Government as the master planner to look for a Future Ready solution for its first-ever rapid transit system, which will not only greatly enhance the city’s connectivity, but also build the foundation that shape its development for coming years.

WSP was lead advisor to National Highways in developing and implementing an ambitious roadmap to net zero by 2050.
