WSP USA served as the rail delivery partner for the first high-speed rail system under construction in the U.S. and has developed new railway standards for high-speed rail in the country.

For a new station of New York City’s No. 7 subway line at 34th Street/Hudson Yards, WSP designed lighting for all areas of the underground space, including custom fixtures that became integral elements of the architectural forms and finishes.

WSP USA contributed to the development of a district plan for Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station that envisions a revitalized urban neighborhood surrounding the historic rail station.

This urban renewal project aims to transform a flood-prone former industrial site into a multi-purpose space using resiliency strategies to adapt to a changing climate.

The 1,176-mile Northeast Corridor (NEC) rail line traverses the United States' busiest and most populated region, connecting Washington DC, Baltimore MD, Philadelphia PA, New York, and Boston MA.

WSP USA worked with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDOT) in establishing a strategic direction for its connected and automated vehicle ( C/AV) program and determining how the department should plan for and address C/AV across the organization.

New technologies are rapidly enabling innovations in transportation modes and services. In just a few years, these innovations have brought us ride-hail services, autonomous vehicles, bicycle-sharing systems, ride-pooling services and more. The impacts of these services on our transportation system have largely gone unmeasured.

WSP USA reviewed and recommended improvements to 20,803 street segments in New York City.
