Independence Power & Light (IPL), serving more than 58,000 customers in Missouri, sought system upgrades to better manage the complex network of electric assets across their generation, transmission, substation, distribution, fiber and service networks.
By modernizing its systems, IPL saw an opportunity to strengthen community connections by enhancing service reliability, improving forecasting accuracy and responding more effectively to outages and maintenance needs.
We partnered with IPL to implement a comprehensive work and asset management solution that revolutionized how the utility manages its electric infrastructure.
A flexible, future-ready platform
To meet IPL’s goals, we delivered a tailored implementation of Trimble, a powerful asset and work management platform. Initially only focused on IPL’s distribution service center, the success of our implementation led to a request for expanded support across their generation and substation service networks, as well as full system integrations.
Our solution was designed to be flexible and scalable, adapting to IPL’s diverse utility assets and operational needs. By integrating with IPL’s GIS, engineering design, billing and financial systems, the platform became a central hub for managing work activities, tracking assets and generating actionable insights.
